How to Handle a Stolen Vehicle

If your vehicle is stolen, it is important to contact the police immediately.
  • Provide them with a detailed description of your car
  • The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
  • License plate number, and
  • Your driver’s license number.
Note: Adding your car information to nationwide records will make it more difficult for the thief to sell or re-title your vehicle.

  • After filing a police report, call us
  • Have the following information ready:
    • Name the account is registered under
    • VIN or Email address assigned to the account
  • Be prepared to share the following information to our recovery agent:
    • Description of the car (make, model, year)
    • Police Report / Case #
    • The name and contact info of the person handling your case
Note: Our recovery agent will work with law enforcement to recover your car
Call your car insurance company within 24 hours of your car being reported missing
Notify your lender if your car is leased or financed.
